ACRS 2014 First Announcement<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Asian Cartilage Repair Society (ACRS) is pleased to announce our 2nd annual congress, to be held in Seoul, Korea on December 7th, 2014 at the grand auditorium in Samsung Medical Center. We welcome delegates from clinical practice, academia and industry to join and share cutting-edge insights in the field of cartilage repair and regenerative medicine.

Cartilage repair is one of the most exciting and emerging fields in regenerative medicine, and Asia has greatly contributed to the rapid advancement in the field of cartilage repair. Aiming to promote more academic activities in Asian regions, Asian Cartilage Repair Society was established in 2011 by continued contributions of several Asian experts in the field of cartilage repair, and the first congress was successfully convened at Chennai, India in 2013.

The theme for the 2nd congress is ¡°turn an untreatable into a treatable in cartilage repair.¡±  Our congress topics will cover the most recent advances in basic science of cartilage repair together with the latest clinical aspects of cartilage repair. By covering both the ¡°bench¡± and ¡°bedside¡± aspect of cartilage repair, we hope that the ACRS 2014 2nd congress will be the right place for the scientists, researchers, clinicians and industries in the field of cartilage repair.

Our congress will be categorized into two basic themes regarding cartilage regenerative medicine; basic science and clinical research. Our basic science theme will include subjects from latest tissue engineering techniques, stem cells in cartilage repair, new findings regarding pathogenesis of cartilage degeneration, and assessment methods regarding new technology. Clinical research theme, extending from the basic science theme, will include overview and debates regarding the newest cartilage repair techniques in Asia, development of concurrent surgical options, and solutions for failed cartilage repair.

We hope you will consider joining us for this memorable and important scientific event and share your insights with various experts in Asia. We look forward to seeing you in Seoul!
